You can tell Faith was crying in this picure. It's because she hates socks, pantyhose, shoes, skorts, pants, leggings, etc. Today I had to CUT the shorts out from underneath her skirt! What are we going to do this winter?

Requests aren't done, they will be popping up as we go, but honestly I do not need annnyymooreee! I was looking at the Wonder Women that I drew last year and started drawing her again, because she's pretty fun to draw, and surly Wonder Woman here came out. Don't settle for being a tits and tits heroine ladies, be yourself! Poor Nibbles.

It is a screen cap from Ponyo! I saved it to be my cintiq's desktop for a little while because I loved looking at Ponyo's little goofy smile.

Never mind, I will take great delight in the collective reactions when I load up a bunch of R-rated slash onto my e-reader. Nosy sods.
These past few weeks I’ve been working through the stack of graphic novels I’ve got laying around. First up was Marvel Illustrated’s Pride and Prejudice (a birthday present from The Boy), which was rather good. I’d started to buy the comics, but they sold out so quickly I decided to just get the graphic novel instead. It’s a hard back (yes!), and lovely, really well done. It does however make me want to read the book yet again, but I think I’ll try to read some of the books I haven’t read once before I go back to my favourite.
Next up was the X-Files Graphics novels, volumes one, two and three. The stories in these are taken from the old Titan(?) magazines back in ‘96/’97. I have all the original magazines up in the loft somewhere, but it’s nice to have them all together in book format. The stories themselves are a little dated, and the artwork isn’t wonderful (though television adaptations are lovely), but they’re enjoyable enough and it has rather made me in the mood to start watching the series again, though I’ve no free time to do so!
Last week I also received my birthday present from The Older One, Take That/Take One and Take That/Take Two. Both are coffee table books with a huge amount of photos in, and a little blurb next to them from various members of band. They don’t take long to read even at 200 pages each, but are lovely and well put together.
Last week was spent reading the Heroes graphic novel, volume two which I’d actually forgotten I own, and only stumbled across it by accident. Not as good as the first, but it was alright.
The middle of the week was spent reading Wil Wheaton’s Memories of the Future, which is a look at the first half of TNG’s first season. I can be a bit undecided on his writing at times, but I really liked this book, and can’t wait for the next volume. This also makes me want to watch all of TNG, though again, no time.
This week’s book is Jeremy Clarkson's Driven to Distraction, which I got on the cheap from the book club. It’s alright, but not the most riveting of reads. Hopefully next week will turn up something better...
In other news, I was a rebel and stayed up past midnight last night. I felt like death this morning. Note to self: MOVE CLOSER.

Gracie was all dressed up and ready to go to church but Jason said no. She totally had her hair done and everything.

I've been eyeing these mixing bowls at Target for about two years now and this week they were on sale!
And I am done with photo a day. A little back story on why I decided to do it. The boy deployed last November abruptly and I thought that the photo project would be a little tiny bit of a distraction. Sadly I used my cell phone camera as a crutch for taking pictures. But at least I followed through!!
( Click here to see ) how my frosting turned out. In particular, check out the border at the bottom of the cake. Those were supposed to be shells, but they got all melty! I mean, eventually the frosting hardened, but I would've liked for the border to have the shell shape.
Anyway, since I got the recipe from here a while ago, I figured I'd ask here how I should go about stiffening up my homemade frosting. I want it to hold its shape!
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)
This was my second time doing the body pump class and now I remember why I enjoyed it so much the first time. It's a full body workout using a barbell so I end up working a lot of muscles that I neglect normally by just using the machines, like my back and shoulders. I'm looking forward to going to this class more often and building up strength, especially in my upper body which feels pretty weak right now.
Yesterday was the first time I tried riding my bike to the gym which is about 4 miles away. It was so much fun, I'm almost mad at myself for not thinking to do it sooner. There is even a bike trail for most of way so I don't have to worry too much about cars, which is very nice. The ride home was especially gorgeous since I ended up leaving the gym just in time to watch the sunset and ride home during twilight.

Well, I used a lot of the suggestions that came my way from that post the other day! I was pretty pleased with the turnout of readers for that question, I must admit. I guess it's because you hear a lot that people don't give a darn about history in this country, if depressing yearly polls from the Dominion Institute mean anything, but it's clearly not the case among my livejournal followers. You guys are great!
I had to do a general sweep that involved a good range of places, professions, backgrounds and time periods, so you know, not everyone's favorite author is going to be in there but I sure did like the range in suggestions. Looking at it now I wish I had someone from the NWT (not one! for shame) and New Brunswick. Stompin Tom is from New Brunswick but he's also sort of from everywhere. I could have put the Irvings in there, I think they control history in NB as well as anything else.
I was all crazed out with strep throat while I did this, but listening to Radiolab shows and a burning passion for Canada I guess(?) kept me going. You can find the image in today's National Post, along with an article about the Historica/Dominion merger! Interesting stuff.
( picture is under the cut because it's huge )
