This year, due to my impending baby-laboring, we co-hosted our Halloween party with Angie & Joe at their house. It was much more of a small kickback than last year's epic blowout, but since we've been pretty distracted, that actually worked out well.

In the Summertime

Oops! I've been getting some nudges and requests to update my lj. I guess it has been awhile since I last posted & made our big baby announcement! There really isn't much to say at this time on the pregnancy front - I've been feeling really normal and mostly good. Just still tired/needing a lot of sleep, and my belly is growing bigger by the day! We've only had one appointment in this interim and it was a simple one where the doctor just used a doppler to hear the baby's heartbeat (and LOTS of moving around!).

I'm still not aware of the movements, which has been frustrating me, but I'm reading it can take up to 22 weeks and I'm just entering my 19th today. So I got to stop feeling discouraged about it. Our major exciting appointment is this Friday! We will have our ultrasound and be able to find out if we're having a boy or a girl. We've been really anxiously awaiting this, I'm so glad there's just couple more days to go.

Obviously I'll have great news/photos to share after the appointment. For now though, I thought I'd post some stuff from the past month as Geoff & I have been really busy and done a lot of fun things. (Photos of constantly varying quality since they came from my nice Nikon, my old Olympus, and my pretty-decent-iPhone. Sorry if you've already seen a lot of these on Facebook or Flickr!)

It's a Dead Man's Party

Our Halloween party finally happened (& is over, boooo)! Couldn't have been happier with the way everything turned out. That's hugely in part to all the help we had from George & Ryane who came out the day before. Thank you so much you guys, we couldn't have done it without you! Go inside the cut for some photos from that Friday's party preps, as well as an amazing amount of gorgeous photos that Anne's wonderfulness snapped at Saturday's shindig. So many kickass costumes, you won't believe it!

The night of my bridal shower we had my bachelorette party. I can't believe a month has already passed since then! Well I'm still a bachelorette, so it's not like this is outdated. I'm going to go easy on the captions since at the moment I'm lacking creativity beyond "here we are laughing", "here we are drinking", and "here we are laughing & drinking". Oh yeah, and sorry about the varying picture qualities - these came from 5 different cameras. Alright, enough disclaimers! On with the show.

Our engagement party was Saturday March 24.
We got a polarioid camera to snap shots of our
guests when they were arriving or unprepared.
Amanda was in charge of accosting everyone.

for my birthday, geoff made dinner for me
and all my friends over at my dad's house.
it was so fun to have that many of my buddies there,
even though there were some sad notable missing people!
kudos to anne for snapping shots all night long.

Jingling in January

Holy wow, it took me a month to get
these Christmas day suckers up and I really only found
the motivation to do so because I'm anxious to
share pictures from my birthday and the Incubus concert!

I received my new camera as a gift from Geoff
and was really just learning how to use it
this day, so I'm not very happy with most shots!
Hope you can enjoy anyway. At the very least
there are some funny videos :)

geoffrey & i went down to southern california to
attend an art show our buddy matthew was part of and
to visit some of our friends.
